Decent action movie. The other guy gets most of the harder scenes while Steven uses a sword a lot and takes out people with a couple quick swipes, but oh well. It’s too bad that with something like this it couldn’t be polished up “just that much.” You know, take out a couple cliches, a couple eye-rolling moments, a couple obviously-bad decisions by the characters, etc. I mean, tell an action fan “It’s Steven Seagal vs. vampires,” and you’ll already have their attention, so you may as well polish it up and go for a winner.

If people want a more thoughtful “old action star” movie, if you haven’t already, you should be watching JCVD.

Then again, it’s probably just money folks. He’s probably another celeb washing it all
away in other things, and needs to make these movies for his debts (or one would hope that’s his motivation).

@DK – you forgot the movie with the coat with the silly narrow vertical stripes (black, red, white, IIRC) and love beads – looked like cheap couch upholstery or ugly 70’s wallpaper – And who can forget him as a US Army Officer in a ‘Class A’ Uniform and a pony-tail? Gaahhhk! XP

He’s the only guy more wooden than Keanu Reeves – Even Jean Claude VanDamme has more acting skills & range!
