    If you used 7loader it’ll fully activate it, just check on what updates you install, I’m pretty sure MS will ship out some anti-piracy ones.

    it’s a hybrid between the 2 taking all the benefits and fixing all the disadvantages..adds sum new stuff to..very smooth..hasnt froze up on me in months and not other problems wutsoever

    Except for the Networking Part, which M$ has totally destroyed, it’s a solid OS. But M$ should really bring back XP Networking.

    Okay Windows 7 is up to par in terms of speed compared to XP. There are a few problems still getiing drivers for Win7, my logitech webcam will probably never work due to Logitech telling me to get a new webcam (mine is about 4 years old, not that old)….

    My creative soundcard drivers are no more good, I cannot install ati catalyst softare at all… Windows 7 has a built in drivers for sound & graphics thats pretty annoying. I cannot customize anything like before.

    As for networking, what a mess. I thought it would be easy but… Wireless connection cuts off every few mins (this seems to affect many pple). Also trying to get a wireless on a network homegroup, umm, forget it…

    Some programs still hang, not even task manager can kill em off. If you have the bad luck of installing certain software, aka DIVX player after a day or two it will freeze so back to the power button. Oh yeah, a lot of software “cracks” do not work anymore in Win7 they do not activate (gives an error), so you are left with a trial.

    I would seriously recommend waiting. It is a terrific looking OS with a lot of potential. I just think I jumped too quickly in installing it over precious reliable XP.

    @ MS critic:
    I have yet to get a crack to not work in windows 7 x64. There was only one keygen that did not work properly, but was very easily resolved by running the keygen in vista sp1 compatibility. This was poweriso keygen.

    AS far as networking goes. Never use home group. Stick with workgroup with windows 7. do that and every thing will work like xp.

    And as far as wireless goes, loose it. no matter what u think, it is not secure. In fact, very very very soon your wireless will work against you to help police and criminals, as your ‘wireless’ signals will provide tomographical image of what is where in the broadcast range of the wireless signals. Yes, that means they can tell were you are in your hows, how tall you are, how wide you are, and can track the movement as well.

    Oh, and the world knows that creative is crap these days.
    Get some real equipment, even a new web cam (even though i have to because logitech driver for win7 wants me to put my cd in the drive…. wtf is that.. who still has there cd’s…)

    And now for comments about this release. Just like the BIE OEM images, this fails to activate in virtual box.

    I partially agree @17

    Not everyone can afford to go out & buy new equipment that is compatible with an OS. Are we to change everything so it can work with Win7 now? Its not like we are going from win 95 to XP. Why did they make the Win7 compatible with older windows versions if half of the sofware wont work?

    As for the wireless, what about people who have computers that are out of reach of LAN? For example, I live in an apt & one PC station is in the living room & the other in a spare room. I would have to tear walls down to hide the wire, or leave it strung across the floor (lol). The wireless worked fine on XP! I dont think that millions of people will stop using wireless due to paranoia.

    I will try the Workgroup as suggested, not a bad idea. Thanks.

    As for Logitech, I will probably buy an MS webcam next. It may just last longer & if I lose the Cd well atleast (maybe) windows will have the drivers built in by default.

    I was unable to install the latest Nero Software, the crack would not activate. Also Sony Vegas 8. Once again I will try your suggestions.

    I guess the PC world is evolving faster than I can keep up! :)
