The Pirate Bay Trial: The Official Verdict – Guilty

Faolan Scath (293)April 17th, 2009 | 12:25 pm or 12:25 GMTOfftopic

This newsmessage is out everywhere from big newssites till local news everywhere in the world:

Just minutes ago the verdict in the case of The Pirate Bay Four was announced.
All four defendants were accused of ‘assisting in making copyright content available’.
Peter Sunde: Guilty.
Fredrik Neij: Guilty.
Gottfrid Svartholm: Guilty.
Carl Lundström: Guilty.
The four receive 1 year in jail each and fines totaling $3,620,000.

You can read the full story here .(thx to torrentfreak)

This is consurning every pirate around the world! The impact on this is underestimated by almost everybody.
Call me paranoia and you probably would be right. Consider this a warning to all the people out there using the pirate bay/mininova and other public trackers/p2p programs like limewire/emule etc. It’s easy enough to protect you just make a little effort.
If you ask me a lot of political and gouvernment influence is involved here. (And not only from Sweden!)

Martin RLSh*t Admin Epic Fail!

OK well this is completley off topic, but when a competitor epically fails, I feel it is my duty to exploit it! Ok RLSlog had a “Hottest Chick Competition” and absolutely no one followed the rules but on that note, this was just TOO epic to pass up on posting here for everyone here to see.

Should SceneReleases Offer Porn Releases to Registered Members?

Exuser (5526)November 2nd, 2008 | 8:18 am or 8:18 GMTOfftopic

Something the editors have been talking about is whether or not we should start posting porn scene releases. This feature would only be available to registered users who choose to accept it in their profile to keep the site family safe. Now before we decide to do this, we want to make sure it’s worth it! So, help us choose by voting either yes, we should, or no, we shouldn’t.

Edit by sta1ns:
GamerZFX forgot to mention it won’t be shown on the main page or show up in the RSS.

Should SceneReleases Post Porn?

[Editor's Note]

This is a new updated list of R5 release dates from my older post here. I have also included the most recent releases for each that are posted here. And for those of you saying that there’s already a release out thats out (for pineapple express, batman, and fred clause) those are DVD Screeners not R5!! Countdown: The End Of The World….a few hours from now

End3r (1153)September 9th, 2008 | 9:42 pm or 21:42 GMTOfftopic

Life as we know it just might all come to an end in a few hours. I’m not sure how many of you have been following this, but the Large Hadron Collider will fire up in a few hours. There are a few scientists who believe these experiments might trigger a black hole, which will eventually swallow planet Earth and eventually our entire solar system, erasing any evidence that we were ever here. Here’s the scary part: the scientists who are pretty confident that a scenario like this will not happen admit that in theory, there is an outside chance that this could happen. I personally feel that if we’re going to attempt something like this all scientists should all be 100% sure that there is a 0% possibility that a black hole can be spawned before trying something like this, but that’s just me… lol. On the other hand, the data that comes from these experiments can increase our knowledge of everything exponentially.

With the Large Hadron Collider firing up for the first time Wednesday, some critics have speculated that the world’s biggest atom smasher could spawn a black hole that would devour Earth. Most physicists respond that the collider is safe and even necessary for the advancement of humankind.

But what if they’re wrong?

What exactly would happen if the 17-mile (27-kilometer) circular tunnel under pastoral France and Switzerland opened up a black hole—or black holes?

The Planet Eater

Physicists across the globe are on the edges of their seats, but not because they’re worried about a Franco-Swiss black hole.

In recreating the conditions present a trillionth of a second after the big bang, the collider could reveal the nature of dark matter, thought to provide structure throughout the universe, scientists say. The machine could also unmask a theoretical but as yet unseen particle, called Higgs boson—or the “God particle”—that is believed to give other particles their mass.

There’s also a very, very remote chance that the process will spawn black holes—any one of which could assume an odd orbit within Earth, devouring microscopic chunks of matter until the entire planet is gone, physicists say.

This and other harrowing—and equally unlikely—scenarios prompted a couple of independent scientists to sue this past spring to stop the atom smasher. So far they haven’t succeeded, and the vast majority of the world’s physicists are on board with the project.

A message to Jack and all the other stupid editors from RLSLOG.NET

Exuser (5526)September 3rd, 2008 | 11:22 am or 11:22 GMTOfftopic

As many have commented, the editors over there are so stupid that instead of using other sites as sources they use us and just copy paste our posts…Some of you might have noticed that many of our editors like End3r and Gamerzfx use a “special site” for posting NFOs..The NFOs on that site have at their bottom this little message embedded :

NFO Image generated by SceneReleases.info !

So almost every new editor over there has used the NFOs from our site now and then making a fool of himself and deleting comments that pointed that out ! I mean these people are so stupid that they don’t even save that image and just use mspaint to delete that message ..

Here are too quick examples I found in less than one minute.Just place your mouse cursor over the NFO and see for yourselves ! :

http://www.rlslog.net/adsgone-spyware-blocker-and-popup-killer-2008-v7101-winall-incl-keygen-brd/

And because they will probably edit their posts (after all they read and copy our site quite thoroughly) here are some links from the Google Cache :D

Don LaFontaine

Faolan Scath (293)September 3rd, 2008 | 3:49 am or 3:49 GMTOfftopic

Person: Don Lafontaine
Date of Birth: 26 August 1940
Date of Death: 1 September 2008
Age: 68
Nickname: King of the Movie Trailers VOg (Voice of god)
Cause of death: complications from pneumothorax, a collapsed lung that causes air to build in the pleural cavity

I just heard this news and to ignore this would be unrespectfull.
It is the most known voice actor in the history of movies.
You probably never seen him but you heard him a lot without knowing it was him!
His name maybe doesn’t ring a bell, but perhaps this will:

LaFontaine, who was born in Duluth, Minnesota, began as a voice actor in the mid-1960s while working as a recording engineer, according to his Web site. His strong, slightly gravelly voice was featured on trailers for thousands of films, including “The Godfather,” “Fatal Attraction” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.” For a time in the late ’70s, LaFontaine was the official voice of Paramount Pictures. Over the past 25 years, LaFontaine cemented his position as the “King of Voiceovers.” Aside from being the preeminent voice in the movie trailer industry, Don also worked as the voice of Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, as well as for CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox and UPN, in addition to TNT, TBS and the Cartoon Network. By conservative estimates, he voiced hundreds of thousands of television and radio spots, including commercials for Chevrolet, Pontiac, Ford, Budweiser, McDonalds, Coke, and many other corporate sponsors.
At last count, he has worked on nearly 5000 films, including appearances as the in-show announcer for the Screen Actors Guild and Academy Awards.

I’ve collected some links for you and I sudgest you watch the youtube link.
You will hear his voice then and I will bet a lot of you will recognize it!

About the Torrent Search

Exuser (5526)July 30th, 2008 | 3:22 pm or 15:22 GMTOfftopic

Hey,

I am sick of all people complaining(and swearing) about the Torrent Search feature and about the fact that many times torrents dont get uploaded to the piratebay. Let’s clear out some things first:
a)We don’t upload the torrents ourselves. As a result we can’t possibly know when a torrent will be available
b)We can’t postpone our posts until a torrent is available. We try to post about new scene and p2p releases as soon as they are released(although we do sometimes forget various releases and we post them with some delay). This is the goal of the site. Public trackers like piratebay are slow and this is not our fault

However if you can’t wait for a release I suggest you to try and get into a good private tracker. Good Private trackers are way faster in uploading new releases , and you also get way better speeds compared to public trackers.. However it’s quite tough to get into them , especially if you don’t already have a friend “inside” , and you must always keep a good ratio,at least 0,6.
Still there is a really good private tracker (but certainly not the best) that is relatively fast, has good speeds and it’s somehow easy to get into. It is called torrent-damage. Just join their chat channel and follow the instructions there.. :)

Also some times certain releases aren’t uploaded to the PirateBay however they are available to other public trackers..Just google the “release name” !

PS: This is not a paid-post advertisement or something, I just try to be of some help here guys :)

PS2: Please don’t start commenting/advertising about really crappy private trackers (which barely have any torrents and users) and are open to new registrations ..
