Hi m8, It’s been a long time since we’ve last seen you. And we where woundering how you’re doing. A lot of things changed and I hope you’ll read this message and that we’ll recieve a reply from you. Greets, Faolan.

Happy new year everybody! A new year and a new start. The whole staff wishes you all the best for the new year and we’ll continue to blog about the newest releases as soon as possible after they hit the internet. We’ve got some things that we’re working on atm but we can’t tell anything about it yet!;-) 2010 is gonna be a fantastic new year with nice movies, music and ofcourse new stupid laws about filesharing, mixed with some hoaxes and a fapping tissue. We’ll be the first to admit things have slowed down a lot recently and we are looking to rectify this.

Please bear in mind we do this as a hobby we do not offer any payment for posting so if you feel this is not for you please read no further, however a few incentives are thrown in along the way after your initial trial period.

Our affiliate TopBytes(dot)net are announcing they will be invite only starting 010609. The site have grown according to plans with a friendly community, request section, happy hour freeleech, a good userbase and the irc server with a site announce and a prechan. Recently all Internet Explore users have been having issues with loading our site, this is due to clicksor’s ad code (line 4)

Unfortunately, we depend on these clicksor ads to generate revenue and keep the site alive.
We hope clicksor sorts out the problem soon so we can keep bringing you the latest in scene/p2p movies :D

A site/domain very similar to ours has come to our attention recently claiming to have joined forces with us, please pay no heed to this as it is not true whatsoever.

Although their site/domain links to ours and they gain nothing from this, we thought you should be aware.

Today is Moviebuff’s b-day and I’d like to wish him a happy birth day myself :D

After a lot of testing with the posts and solving the problems that occurred we now can announce that disperseit is our newest affil. We think this is a great improvement so you don’t have to dl a sample anymore now. (Well at least not that often anymore)
And if you still want it you can still download it.

So what makes DiT different from sites like NVideo, MegaVideo, Rapidshare?

The story:
GamerZFX, I and another admin agreed to make an xxx blog on a sub domain of scene releases because in a previous poll people wanted it.
GamerZFX was giving ftp access so he could upload a theme etc. and manage the sub site.
The he secretly uploaded a shell and posted up a message at a hackers forum so that somebody could root the server.
Since he’s an ex-hacker himself he knows a few.
Darkc0ke saw this and couldn’t appreciate this because he prefers security over just hacking and he responded first to the message from GamerZFX.
He got in using the shell that GamerZFX uploaded and wanted to post a small message first and then contact us later.

What happened:
When he was busy using the shell as an access point to the server I (Faolan) received an email that a new user was made in wordpress.
Since S (Sta1ns) wasn’t on then and fr (fruitloop didn’t told me anything I asked him and that’s how we discovered what was going on.
I checked the users in wp and got the mailadress from Darkc0ke.
I added him to msn and was chatting with him when he was busy with the message for the FrontPage.
He even showed me the message when he was making it and that’s how I and fr could counter it fast.
We made backups of the db’s and wp and in the meantime I was still chatting with the cracker.

Then Darkc0ke discovered that we both speak the same native language and we had a great laugh.
He instantly deleted the database that he had put on a forum (only 2dl’s, and 1 of them is fr’s dl, the other one gamerzfx’s dl)..
Then he told us a lot on how to secure the server and more info about GamerZFX’s plan.

Then GamerZFX posted this our forum:

Then I said we got it under control, and GamerZFX posts this message after it:

Like why would you defend yourself if you’re not supposed to know anything about it?

GamerZFX asked Darkc0ke again to hack the website again and get it offline with an FBI message.
Darkc0ke send a message what he exactly wanted but gamerZFX didn’t replied.
We’re not going to wait for this; he’s banned for ever from SR.
If he ever sneaks in again as an editor we’ll crush him then again and pay a visit to his house.
It’s so disgraceful what he did after he gained trust for being an editor for so long.
He did other stuff as well that we discovered later, but that shall be among SR members.

This isn’t just a joke anymore and this is way over the top.
If Darkc0ke wasn’t a white hat our site would be down, the real db’s on the web etc.
So we thank Darkc0ke because of what he did.
We’re just stunned that GamerZFX did something like this.
He was a long time site member, and being stabbed in the back like is very painful.
We’re glad we could counter it and we still can’t image why GamerZFX would do something like this.
We gave GamerZFX a day the chance to confess what he did and why he did it.
But since he wanted to go even further it doesn’t matter anymore.
I think everybody understands how we feel, since we’ve all been stabbed in the back at least once in our life.
So for us this case is closed and we move on, but feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comments.

“There are lots of potential threats distributed through bittorrent networks and since filesharing became extremely popular one needs to be protected from these threats. The new site VerTor (http://vertor.com), which is short for Verified Torrents, offers a service that provides users with torrent files that made it through an anti-virus scan and some more tests.

Main features of the site are following. Every torrent file is downloaded and checked for viruses and passworded archives. The system also extracts small samples of audio files so that users can be sure they download the right stuff. For videos the engine makes screenshots and puts them with the file. Text information and archive filelists are also extracted and shown.
